Twitter is classified as a free social networking and microblogging service that entitles its users to send and read messages known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters displayed on the author’s profile page and delivered to the author’s subscribers who are known as followers.

Since its creation, Twitter has been gaining notability and popularity worldwide and probably that is why is sometimes described as the “SMS of the Internet”. Nowadays, its usage is very wide, for instance, it is used in campaigning, legal proceedings, education, public relations and even politics.
